We really enjoyed listening to Katie (violin), Kyle (guitar), Nicole (flute) and Mrs. Twomey (violin) perform some tunes of us today. It was a lovely treat for the children to hear a live performance. Here we share just one sample of the many tunes they played:
When 'magic e' comes at the end of a word, it makes the vowel in the middle say its name.
We will record it again next week, hopefully with suitable backing music!! First attempt was fairly good though! Well done everyone!
Just some of the transitions we are using between lessons this week:
Room 4 was full of book characters today. We had Mr. Strong, Goldilocks, Willie Wonka, Jack and the Beanstalk, Ariel, Where's Wally and so many more. Well done everyone!
The fun continued during session two of gymnastics with Danny and Jake. Here's what we got up to:
Many children brought in a story book they like from their collections at home. It's great to see the children being so enthusiastic about reading. We discussed the roles of authors and illustrators. Perhaps we have future authors or illustrators in Room 4!
We read 'The Runaway Pancake' and practised our sequencing and summarising skills.
Welcome to the Room 4 Junior / Senior Infant Blog. We will show you some of our work on this page and hopefully you will see just how busy we are in school. We would love for you to leave comments for us to read!
